Who is eligible to participate in the Utica House of Hope Program?

Women entering the program must be 18+ years old; single (with or without children); unable to afford permanent housing on their own; have the desire to complete a GED and/or begin working on their secondary education; be willing to participate in all programs offered by Jacob’s Well and be willing to be free of any unhealthy addictions by completing rehabilitation programs prior to entering the program.

AND…have the desire for a new way of life.

General Outline of Our Program

Prerequisites for Transitional Housing Program:

A participating family is a low-income single mother family who has willingly agreed to participate in the Jacob’s Well program, which includes supportive transitional housing, spiritual mentoring, educational & training classes and family services. The single mother has a desire to make changes for the future of herself and her children.

Life Coach (First 8-12 Weeks)

  • Develop Healthy Life Skills
  • Develop Healthy Coping Skills
  • Promote Healthy Relationships

Outsourced Services

  • Legal Advocacy — Restraining order, Probation, Court Dates
  • Legal Referrals — Child Custody and Other Related Matters
  • Individual and Family Counseling Availability
  • ​Medical Needs; Individual and Family

Training Classes

  • Parenting Skills
  • Life Coaching
  • ​Budgeting/Financial
  • Community Resources (GED, Vocational Training)
